Team Preview: Archer Tigers

The Archer Tigers will begin the 2022 season with a new head coach in Dante Willliams. Williams will replace Andy Dyer who started the Tiger football program in 2009. Williams will look to build success quickly as he brings over a wealth of experience most notably with Grayson and more recently Collins Hill. Coach Williams will look to build upon the success and take this Archer program to new heights quickly.

Keys to Success:
”We have to take it 1 game at a time this season. We are a very young football team with not a lot of varsity playing experience. We have great kids that are hungry for success. We have to play within ourselves and play good complimentary football.” - Coach Williams

Season Outlook:

“I put my schedule up against anyone in the state of Georgia. Region 4 7-A is already the toughest region top to bottom - hands down, no matter of classification. It's the SEC-West. Even our non-region schedule - when you mention teams like North Gwinnett, Mill Creek, Norcross, etc. I think it's a great stress-test for our kids come playoff time. We'll get into the tournament and won't face any better talent / competition than our 10 game regular schedule.” - Coach Williams

Game of the Year:

Take your pick from this schedule. The Tigers lost by a combined 5 points to Grayson and North Gwinnett last season. Archer came up with a 9-0 shutout a season ago. However, we think that Coach Williams and the Tigers have a chance to make some big noise when they host the Mill Creek Hawks in Week 3.
