Week 10 Players of the Week

Class 6A -7A Player of the Week

Jordan McDonald - Milton - Running Back - @Jordan1Mcdonald
The senior running back had himself a nice weekend. On Friday he all but helped Milton move a win away from another region championship by rushing for 132 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 10 carries. In the win over Roswell, he also chipped in with some more scoring by throwing a touchdown pass and catching another. To cap it all off, he announced his long awaited commitment to UCF on Saturday!

Class 4A-5A Player of the Week

Ayden Smith - Lithia Springs - Wide Receiver - @AyedatkidAyden
The Lions kept their playoff hopes alive on Friday night with a 35-9 win over Chapel Hill. Smith came up with some big plays but none bigger than his 50+ yard touchdown reception. He finished the night with 4 catches for 109 yards and the touchdown.

Class 2A-3A Player of the Week

Selation Straughter Jr. - Monroe Area - Quarterback - @TWOSTRAUGHTER
Beating a team that hasn’t lost a regular season game in over two years requires a special performance. Straughter Jr. provided just that in the 17-14 slugfest win over Oconee County. The signal caller was incredibly efficient completing 9-11 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown. He also churned our 100+ yards rushing on 19 carries!

Class 1A Public/Private Player of the Week

Tre Hawkins - Athens Academy - Running Back - @thawkins_4
The junior running back has plenty of experience in the Spartans backfield. And the Spartans have plenty of experience winning with Hawkins in the backfield. Friday night was more of the same as Hawkins rushed for two big touchdowns against rival Athens Christian. He had almost 100 yards on those runs alone going for 80 yards and 17 yards in the 30-14 win.
