Noteworthy:

A big time matchup in Class 2A! Callway returns to the semi-finals after losing a heartbreaker to Brooks County in the semi-finals last year. Rabun County is back for the first time since 2017. This game also features some good on good with the Rabun County passing attack going up against a very talented Cavalier secondary. It seems like all the Wildcats do is score points, and all the Cavaliers defense does is force turnovers. Something has to give!

Jefferson County Warriors (10-2) at Fitzgerald Purple Hurricanes (13-0)

How They Got Here:

Fitzgerald defeated:

Oglethorpe County 58-12
Northeast 35-18
Fannin County 48-14

Jefferson County defeated:

Cook 36-22
Jeff Davis 42-29
Bremen 33-10

Players to Watch:

Fitzgerald:

RB Mario Clark, WR Chance Gamble, WR Demarion Dixon, DL Jay Price, LB EJ Lightsey, LB Jaden Stanley

Jefferson County:

QB Aquavious Hunter, RB Lee’travius Hudson, WR Mike Murray, C Marion Carr, DB Kobe Heggs, DB Cardarius Stone

Noteworthy:

The rematch is here! All the way back in September, Fitzgerald pulled out a 14-12 road victory over these Warriors. Since that point, Jefferson County has now won 10 games in a row, and Fitzgerald has still not lost. The Purple Hurricanes have been downright dominant in the playoffs winning by an average margin of over 30 points a game. Fitzgerald’s defense has been stout throughout the year, but Aquavious Hunter is one of the state’s best athletes at QB for Jefferson County. We are excited to see this rematch and if Fitzgerald can remain unbeaten!
