Noteworthy:

A week later and we get another Region 1 versus Region 7 game! Coffee is one of two three seeds left in the playoff and has done nothing but win on the road in these playoffs. Cartersville also came away with an impressive road win last week over Ware County in a game that saw six lead changes. Cartersville’s ground game is led by Quante Jennings who has 6+ TD’s in the playoffs alone. Devonte Ross, Kolbe Benham led a strong receiving core giving Carlos Del Rio plenty of options to spread the ball around. Coffee’s QB AJ Wilkerson led the Trojans back to the semi-finals for the first time since 2017. The Trojans have seen it all playing in one of the state’s toughest regions of any class. It will be interesting to see if the Trojans can continue this impressive road playoff run on Friday night in Cartersville!

Jones County Greyhounds (10-3) at Warner Robins Demons (11-1)

How They Got Here:

Jones County defeated:

Wayne County 27-25
Griffin 34-13
Eastside 28-7

Warner Robins defeated:

Union Grove 49-7
Woodward Academy 30-7
Blessed Trinity 35-28

Players to Watch:

Jones County:

QB John Alan Richter, RB Andrew Carner, WR Maleek Wooten, DL Anthony Thompson, LB Deon Richardson, DB Javious Bond

Warner Robins:

QB Jalen Addie, RB Jahlen Rutherford, WR Daveon Walker, WR Armon Porter, DL Vic Burley, LB Ahmad Walker,

Noteworthy:

Jones County won their 10th game in a row last Friday in a commanding 28-7 win over Eastside. The Greyhounds have come done nothing but win the 2nd half of this season, and now get a huge test in Warner Robins. The Demons are back in the semi-finals for a 3rd year, but its championship or bust for them from this point on. They took down Class 4A’s three time defending champion, Blessed Trinity, last week. The Demons have star power on offense led by QB Jalen Addie, and then on defense as well with LB Ahmad Walker. This is a tall order for Jones County, but you never know what can happen in the playoffs!
