Class 7A
Bryson Moss (Newnan) - Moss is no stranger to the end zone this season. He led the Cougars on Friday night to a 34-7 win over Campbell as he rushed for 121 yards and four touchdowns! Newnan now takes on East Coweta for the Region Championship and good ole braggin’ rights in Coweta County!
Class 6A
Troy Glenn (Allatoona) - What a season it has been for the Bucs, and the Allatoona offense racked up points and quickly on Friday night as Glenn had two big time touchdown receptions! Glenn and and Allatoona are one win away from finishing off an undefeated 2020 campaign!
Class 5A
Damari Alston (Woodward Academy) Alston has already rushed for over 1,000 yards on the year, on Friday he rushed for three touchdowns and over 150 yards as the Ware Eagles ran away with a 28-7 win over Tri-Cities! Alston will look for an encore performance as they have a winner take all battle versus Creekside for the Region Championship this week!
Class 4A
Jayden Johnson (Cedartown) - Johnson proved his big play ability as he caught not one but two touchdown passes for 60+ yards. He ended the night with over 180 yards receiving as the Bulldogs wrapped up the region championship in the 34-7 win. There is no doubt about it that Johnson and the Bulldogs are getting hot at the right time!
Class 3A
Connor Crunkleton (Adairsville) - Crunkleton directed the Tigers offense to 42 points on the night as they won a shootout versus North Murray to gain home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Charlie Dixon (Callaway) - What to make of Region 5? We don’t know! But Dixon did his best to put the Cavs in the driver seat as he rushed for over 100 yards and scored three touchdowns in the 41-20 win over Temple. Callaway continually turns out some of the best talent in the state regardless of class and Dixon fits that billing just fine!
Class 1A Public
Brandon Denmark (Montgomery County) - The Eagles are surging at the right time, and Denmark is a big reason why! He rushed for three touchdowns on Friday night, had close to 50 yards receiving as Montgomery County won 40-8! Now he and the Eagles get a chance to take down region favorite, Dublin in the season finale!
Class 1A Private
Nick Speros (Mount Pisgah) - Speros was the biggest benefactor of a unstoppable passing game on Friday night. He hauled in 11 catches for over 200 yards, and two touchdowns in the 38-14 win over King’s Ridge. A win over St. Francis this week will give the Patriots momentum and home field advantage for round one of the playoffs next week.
