Newton 42-0
North Cobb 21-13
Milton 23-13

Collins Hill defeated:

Alpharetta 42-7
Denmark 17-6
Parkview 21-14

Players to Watch:

Collins Hill:
QB Sam Horn, RB Spenser Anderson, RB/WR Clint Gilbert, WR/DB Travis Hunter Jr., LB Adarius Jones, DB Justin Richardson

Noteworthy:

The Vikings are ready for another trip up to Atlanta as they continue their quest to finish the job of winning the state championship after falling one win short a year ago. Collins Hill is back in the semi-finals for the first time in recent memory as they have burst on the scene this year in a big way. Lowndes QB Jacurri Brown can do it all, and has done so all season. Last week against Milton, he was the feature point of the offense as the Vikings controlled the majority of the game. For Collins Hill it is QB Sam Horn and WR Travis Hunter Jr. who have been unstoppable this season. The other weapons for the Eagles make it difficult to key in on Hunter Jr. The stout Lowndes defense may have their toughest test of the season going up against this Eagles’ offense. Looking forward to a great game in Gwinnett County!

Grayson Rams (12-0) at Norcross Blue Devils (13-0)

How They Got Here:

Grayson defeated:

Tift County 43-0
Harrison 30-6
West Forsyth 33-0

Norcross defeated:

South Forsyth 47-20
Roswell 40-20
Colquitt County 17-7

Players to Watch:

Grayson:
QB Jake Garcia, RB Jamal Haynes, WR Jayvian Allen, DL Jaidan Jackson, DL Victoine Brown, LB Derrell Farrar

Norcross:
QB Mason Kaplan, RB Jahni Clarke, WR Trey Goodman, LB Jalen Garner, LB Zakye Barker, DB Josh Graham

Noteworthy:

These two teams are no stranger to each other, as it seems the schools meet annually in the playoffs in multiple sports. Just a short 23 mile ride separates the two Gwinnett County schools. It is the 2nd of our 2 undefeated matchups across the state, and both schools have had outstanding seasons. Not only that both teams have turned it up in the playoffs winning all of their games by double digits. Grayson is without star RB Phil Mafah, but the Rams have continued their success on the ground in his absence with Jamal Haynes taking on more of a work load. The Grayson defense is as tough as they come, and has D1 talent at every level. The Norcross story is much of the same, QB Mason Kaplan is the unquestioned leader of this team and a gutsy performance by him and the Blue Devil defense led them to the win over perennial power Colquitt County. Should be a great game, and it is a shame one of these teams’ season will come to an end!
